Associa Employee Spotlight: A Multitalented Multitasker

The Associa family is made up of thousands of unique individuals who bring their own talents and passion to the job. Each week, we recognize one of our family members in the Employee Spotlight, highlighting not only their work but what they love to do after clocking out. 

In her position as a concierge for Associa PCM in California, Susan Sellers does a little bit of everything. Her work days, which are never the same, are filled with accepting and sorting deliveries, managing homeowner payments, scheduling meetings and training sessions, and wielding phone calls from staff and clients. “My job involves time pressure and the ability to multitask and work across several projects at once, with regular deadlines throughout the day.  Additional duties include working daily on projects for the accounts payable department, while serving throngs of homeowners with their various requests.  Although there are very busy times, I remain calm and in control.”

Susan doesn’t let the craziness of concierge life overwhelm her. “I have a strong desire to help others, develop as a professional and always strive to get the work done. I’m a musician and former educator, which both require strong communication skills, patience and organization. My attitude has always been that if I am going to do something, I should put forth every effort to succeed. I love the focus on providing exceptional customer service!”

Much like her ability to tackle a wide range of tasks on the job, Susan has a number of outside talents she shares with her teammates. From cooking to clarinet playing, she loves the opportunity to brighten someone’s day. “I believe I have brought real passion and energy to this role, joyfully sharing my music, homemade tamales and pozole (a soup from Mexico) with staff. I love to wear various head gear and play music for all the holidays, which hopefully brings a smile to the staff and clients.”
