Associa Employee Spotlight: Experience And Growth Make a Perfect Match

The Associa family is made up of thousands of unique individuals who bring their own talents and passion to the job. Each week, we recognize one of our family members in the Employee Spotlight, highlighting not only their work but what they love to do after clocking out. 

Drew Szewczyk, real estate coordinator at Kramer-Triad, brought a wealth of experience with him when he joined the Associa family. In addition to the time he spent honing his skills on the construction side of things, Drew spent twelve years in real estate portfolio management, specializing in the real estate owned foreclosure sector. This inside and out knowledge of the entire building process, from construction through to the sale, gives Drew an advantage in his current role. He joined the Associa team knowing his experience and our focus on continued growth were a perfect match. “I came here for the opportunity to utilize my existing knowledge of real estate and property management in an environment where integrity and innovation are valued.”

Unlike many of us, Drew doesn’t dread difficult clients. In fact, he relishes the opportunity to hear their grievances and figure out a way to make them happy. “I actually enjoy working with clients who may not be at their happiest moment, or even openly hostile clients, and being able to bring them around and resolve their issues.” But that’s not to say he doesn’t enjoy the positive attitudes of his co-workers. His favorite thing about Associa is the family spirit and support he feels every time he works with his team. “Anytime I am able to work with my fellow team members to resolve a situation, or accomplish a goal, it’s a special moment.”

When he’s not with his Associa family, Drew looks forward to the moments he can spend with his own family. When the weather in Michigan is nice, they take advantage of it by hiking and kayaking. When the snow falls, it’s time to watch football. It’s not all about sports, though. He’s an avid reader and art enthusiast, and even writes short literary fiction. This kind of all-around talent helps Drew provide unsurpassed customer service, even to the angriest of customers.
