Congratulations to Katherine Lipovsky, General Manager for Gates of McLean, who was named employee of the month for March 2019. Katherine joined CMC in 2010 as an Assistant Community Manager. Since that time, she has served as the Assistant Community Manager at a second property, and the General Manager of two large condominium communities, before being promoted to her current position. Katherine is the first employee who has been nominated for employee of the month by one of her Board members – that is pretty incredible! Her Board says that she performs above and beyond their already high expectations. Katherine has accomplished many things during her short time as General Manager – including dealing with significant emergencies, onboarding an entirely new front desk staff with great success, and implementing changes to better track maintenance projects. In her spare time, she has also proven herself to be a talented actress and singer and was even nominated for Outstanding Features Actress in a Musical for her performance in Legally Blond with the Little Theater of Alexandria. She is a woman of many talents and we are lucky to have her!
Congratulations to Donna Aker, Community Manager for Embrey Mill, who was named employee of the month for April 2019. Donna joined CMC in 2008 as a Community Manager for a large developing HOA in King George County, Virginia. She was promoted to Portfolio Manager in 2012 and recently moved on site to another large HOA. Donna is a very experienced manager and has her CMCA, AMS, and PCAM designations. She is also an active member of the Washington Metro Chapter of CAI. On top of being an awesome manager, Donna always makes time to give back to others. She has organized the Angel Tree Program in our office for six straight years, collecting toys and clothes for children in need during the holidays. She is a member of the Optimist Club, and has served as President, District Lt. Governor, and fundraiser chair. She has also served on the Board of Directors for her community association and community swim team. Donna shines in both her professional and personal life and is a true asset to CMC!
