Buy, Eat, Do!

Here are some tips for what's on sale, what's in season, and what to do this time of year.

Buy: Hanging baskets, annuals, tomato plants

Eat: Lettuce, asparagus, chard and radishes

Do: Deadhead spring bulbs, plant up containers, fertilize plants

June

Buy: Tropical plants, summer bulbs, insect repellent

Eat: Strawberries, beets, broccoli

Do: Place netting over berry shrubs, inspect plant for insects, clean and fill birdbaths

July

Buy: Mulch, shade canopies, fall crops

Eat: Berries, summer corn, watermelon

Do: Pick blueberries, water garden, harvest vegetables
