Board Education Seminar/Training (B.E.S.T)

Associa Colorado Association Services recently hosted a series of board education seminars and training sessions for their local communities.  Led by management team members and industry experts, the meetings provided attendees with important information on essential aspects of community management operations, including reserve studies and legislative updates. Check out a video recording of each event below:

The"Reserve Study Basics" webinar guided attendees through best practices for establishing and using reserve funds to address major predictable repair and replacement projects. Bryan Farley, president of Association Reserves, led the discussion.

The "2024 Legislation"  session provided legal updates on policies related to home-based businesses, collections, towing, and other essential aspects of community management.  Anthony T. Smith of the SJJ Law Firm led the discussion.

Guest speakers David Graff and Mike Wolf led the "Know Your Role" webinar. Both discussed the roles of the board, management company, and community manager in operations.

For the "Energize Denver Updates" webinar, the branch welcomed Energize Denver Compliance Administrator Derek Valentini as a guest speaker. With Energize Denver’s initiative to reduce energy consumption by 2030 in all buildings in Denver over 25,000 square feet, affecting many community associations, he provided updates on the requirements and tips for successfully fulfilling them.
