2021 September 5 Star Champion: Amy Grube

Nomination by Sarah Clausen: As the Employee Communications Manager, I get to see all the fun activities our branches plan for clients and each other. When I see an email come in from Amy Grube, I know it will be chock full of pictures of happy neighbors having the time of their lives at karaoke nights, fancy dinners, volunteer opportunities, and everything else under the sun. As Recreation Manager of Carolina Arbors, Amy and her team consistently go above and beyond the call of duty for their senior residents. These folks are making the most of their retirements thanks to the creativity and care Amy puts into every event. Prior to the pandemic, the team managed 400 activities per month and were able to successfully convert many of these activities to virtual during quarantine and renewed a two-year contract with the community. If anyone needs help planning events to bring communities together, look no further than Amy Grube. In addition to her incredible service to her residents, Amy has such a positive attitude and always brightens my day. Thank you, Amy, for bringing much-appreciated joy to everyone you meet!
