Associa Opens New HQ with Room for Nearly 1K Workers
Enter content hereRICHARDSON, Texas — Associa CEO John Carona's 25-years vision to house the company's corporate groups under one roof became a reality mainly because of the pandemic.
An enormous amount of properties became available at lower prices as many businesses shifted to remote work, sparking an idea in his head.
"I saw an opportunity to be able to buy really top-quality office buildings at a fraction of what they had been valued at in previous years," Carona said. "That's what happened here. We bought both buildings and created a campus here. This complex came on the market at such a price that I knew it was far below replacement cost."
Associa bought the Richardson property, located at the southwest corner of East Lookout Drive and North Plano Road, last year and began renovations soon after. Carona estimated the company, which provides property management for homeowner associations, invested a little more than $60 million into the new space.
