2021 Spring Creek Pool Deck Maintenance

Last year,  we worked with one of our communities in Charlottesville, Spring Creek Community Association, to complete repairs to the clubhouse pool deck. They were having water leaks under the concrete and the surface was failing.

The association had investigated how to make the needed repairs for over two years. Associa OnCall was able to work with their architect and put a plan together. Don Valcourt, area supervisor, and his team worked with the manager and onsite manager to compete the project well in advance of the pool opening. The association had received other bids, and we were able to help save them over $25,000. Here are some of the repairs we made:

  • Cut out and removed needed concrete
  • Repaired the leaking water lines
  •  Poured and finished new stamped concrete
  • Re-surfaced concrete
  • Painted entire pool deck and balcony
  • Applied new caulking around pool 

Exterior Power Washing and Painting Services

Associa OnCall can help with all your power washing and painting projects. We can perform pre-paint inspections to note any needed repairs, create specs, and provide proposals. We pride ourselves on working with communities to create relationships in order to complete these services year after year.

An example of this is a community in the Virginia Beach area, Wordsworth Village Condominium Association, where we provided a proposal to complete their project in 2020. The property consists of 50 buildings. They power-wash and paint 10 buildings per year and spot-power-wash the others. We were awarded the contract and completed the project in less than half the time of the previous contractor. The homeowners and the board were very happy with the quality of work, professionalism, and the constant communication. We were awarded the project again in 2021 and are currently working on the proposal for 2022.

Employee Spotlight

Artie Porter is the supervisor for Richmond. He has been with Associa OnCall for 23 years and came aboard in April 1999. His skillset includes almost everything, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, welding, and so much more. He has worked in all our communities so long that his knowledge of the buildings is invaluable.

Artie takes great pride in completing projects and making sure everyone is happy. He is also the person to call if there is an emergency or urgent situation. His dedication to see things to the end is second to none.

He has been married for 30 years to his wife Sharon and they have one son. When Artie isn’t working, he enjoys camping, hunting, and fishing.
