8 6. THE ADJUSTER CONDUCTS AN INSPECTION. Depending on the severity of your losses, the insurance company may need to conduct an inspection of the property. The claims examiner will advise your community manager that a staff or independent adjuster will be in contact to schedule an inspection. During this time, it's crucial that your association doesn't stop mitigation efforts while waiting for the inspection. Doing so may complicate your claim and create hazardous conditions that put residents at risk. Your board or community manager should hear from the adjuster within 24 hours to set up the inspection. If there are no conflicts, the inspection should happen very quickly—usually within 48 hours of the initial contact with the insurance adjuster. 7 6 5 4 8 9 10 11 3 2
