5. THE HOA
SUBMITS
EXPENSES
AND REPAIR
ESTIMATES.
Along with other documentation,
the association must provide the
insurance company with current bills
and expenses for mitigation efforts.
Your HOA insurance policy will likely
require that you take action to prevent
further damage and keep losses from
worsening. Because you may need to use
HOA funds to do this, you can submit
these expenses for reimbursement.
Additionally, you should submit a few
estimates from qualified contractors
or vendors for the cost of repairs
or replacements. These estimates
will weigh heavily on the examiner's
evaluation of your losses.
