SURVEY
ROAD AND
SIDEWALK
CONDITIONS
At the start of a new school year, your
community can expect to see families
walking or biking to school or catching
the school bus. As a community leader,
it's your job to help prevent injuries,
accidents, and property damage.
Evaluate the physical condition of the
roads and sidewalks in your community.
Here are a few things to look for:
• Cracked or broken sidewalks
• Potholes or loose pavement
• Damaged speed bumps
• Unmarked crosswalks
Getting ahead of poor road conditions
can make for a smoother and safer
commute for both pedestrians and
drivers. As summer winds down,
schedule repairs to get sidewalks and
roadways in optimal shape.
