4 VICE PRESIDENT This role shares similar duties with the president while taking on other unique responsibilities. The board vice president is mainly tasked with carrying out the president's directions and completing delegated duties, such as: • Presiding over meetings in the president's absence • Heading committees and acting as liaison to the board • Overseeing special community projects • Communicating with vendors and the management company • Working with the president to achieve community goals The vice president must be prepared to stand in for the president when necessary. They need to know their role and the president's duties inside and out to avoid delays and keep everything organized and efficient.
