ISSUE: A NEW BOARD WANTS
TO DISCOVER EACH MEMBER'S
STRENGTHS
ACTIVITY: MYSTERY DINNER
Instead of an escape room, try a mystery dinner. It's the same concept as the escape room,
but with live actors. If your group is large enough, get competitive and split up to see which
team solves the mystery first. The actors interact with you during the show, and in time,
you'll discover which of your neighbors has the skills to head up your neighborhood watch
committee.
WHY IT WORKS: Similar to the escape room exercise, each team working together to
collect clues and question suspects strengthens communication skills. It requires the same
creative "out of the box" thinking needed when your board encounters challenges.
