After the claim is approved, the insurance company will issue the agreed-upon
payments for covered expenses and losses. HOA boards should work with
their community managers to prioritize repairs and get the association back on
track. This will involve:
• Selecting an approved contractor or vendor
• Overseeing reconstruction efforts
• Ensuring the contractor is on time and within budget
• Keeping residents informed of your progress
• Taking steps to prevent the incident from happening again
