5. SHARE WITH
RESIDENTS
If the board approves, it's time to share the proposed
amendments with residents. The easiest way to do this
is to schedule a meeting, either in person or using an
online meeting platform, to walk residents through the
changes and gather feedback.
Depending on what section of the governing
documents you're changing, you may or may not need
resident approval. A quorum and majority vote may be
needed to finalize certain amendments. The quorum
and vote may vary depending on the section of the
governing documents you are amending. In any case,
it's best to be transparent and allow residents to voice
their opinions on the matter.
