5. PARTICIPATE IN MEETINGS
AND FUNCTIONS
Homeowners want to see that you care and are trying to correct past mistakes. Your
participation and engagement with homeowners, despite any discontent, reflects your
commitment to your role.
When addressing residents in a meeting or at a community function, remember to:
• Communicate clearly, confidently, and respectfully
• Engage directly with homeowners
• Not shy away from difficult topics
• Allow residents to share their concerns and feedback
Your participation shows that you put the needs of your community first. Rather than
avoiding homeowners, you're present and working to repair the relationship.
