4. MAKE YOURSELF VISIBLE
& APPROACHABLE
Some community residents may have personal concerns or sensitive matters
they want to discuss with board members privately. By making yourself
visible, being available, and exhibiting a welcoming nature, you promote trust.
Homeowners may feel more comfortable approaching you and other board
members.
However, it's important to set limitations. While you want to be open to
residents, you need to prioritize your personal life and schedule. Advise
homeowners on where, how, and when they can reach you.
Best suited for feedback on:
• HOA violation policies
• How neighbor complaints were handled
• Amenity use concerns
When interacting with homeowners, be approachable. This connection will ease
intimidation and encourage honest discussions without judgment.
