1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Tightly place bread in one layer in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
3. Lightly beat eggs in a large bowl. Whisk in milk, ¼ cup of sugar, and vanilla extract.
4. Pour half of the liquid over bread.
5. Arrange apple rings on top of bread slices. Pour the remaining egg mixture over apples.
6. Mix remaining ½ cup of sugar with cinnamon and shake over apples. Dot with butter and bake for 35
minutes.
7. Drizzle with maple syrup and enjoy.
