MAINTENANCE
In addition to exteriors, check in and
around community buildings to schedule
needed repairs and regular maintenance.
While catching issues early can prevent
injuries, you're also improving the
appearance and functionality of these
spaces. Things to check include:
• Walkways. Look for uneven flooring,
such as cracked, chipped, or
displaced sidewalks.
• Stairways. Make sure stairs are stable
and handrails are sturdy and intact.
• Carpeting and flooring. Fix loose
carpeting and damaged floors as soon
as possible to keep homeowners safe
when using common areas.
• Fire safety hazards. Remove
unnecessary clutter and schedule fire
safety inspections.
