WHAT HAPPENS
AFTER A VIOLATION
IS REPORTED?
Usually, after a violation is reported, a
violation notice or letter is sent detailing
the violation and remediation efforts.
This violation notice is generally a written
letter delivered through certified mail.
Other violation notices could come from
a phone call, email, or even a notification
on a community website or app.
In most cases, with a first-time offense,
the resident will simply need to correct
the issue within an allotted amount of
time, and that'll be the end of it. For
others, the non-compliant party may
need to attend a hearing, pay a fine,
or take further action, depending on
the severity of the violation and the
homeowner's response to the claim.
