3. VIRTUAL MEETING
PLATFORM
Today's communities increasingly use virtual
HOA meeting platforms to foster convenience
and engagement. Homeowners have busy
lives that often keep them from attending
meetings, and transitioning some of these
meetings to virtual platforms, such as Zoom
or GoToMeeting, can make attendance more
practical.
In addition to increased engagement and
attendance, virtual meetings provide benefits,
including:
• The ability to record virtual meetings for
reference.
• Saved money and time.
• More control over who is speaking, making it
easier to stay on topic.
• Easy use of visual aids during virtual
meetings.
While a virtual setting may be suitable for
seminars, regular board meetings, or some
committee meetings, it may be best to keep
annual meetings as in-person sessions. Consult
