In fact, most boards have a mandated Board of Directors Code of Professional Ethics. This code typically outlines expected behavior regarding integrity and objectivity, technical standards, conflicts of interest, and more. Not only is it part of your ethical duty, but remaining neutral in a conflict is also key to finding a solution. Don't take sides or show favoritism towards any party. Conflicts are hard, but concentrate on maintaining a good attitude and staying positive—it helps.
