4 2. REPAIR CRACKS AND REPAINT WEATHERED WALLS Grab a pen, paper, and a cell phone for pictures, walk around the community, and assess the condition of shared driveways, sidewalks, and fences. The heat of the summer sun and the shifting of soil can move the pavement. Look for cracks, uneven surfaces, chipped or broken fencing, and weathering of paint and stain. Take pictures and jot down the location of these issues for quick reference.
