TIP 3: BE
PREPARED.
Boards don't meet often, so when they
do, make sure you come prepared to
make the most of the time together.
Showing up prepared to intelligently
discuss and act on the agenda
establishes trust and shows residents
you're courteous of their time and able
to make informed decisions efficiently.
To prepare for a meeting:
• Review the agenda
• Read related documents, like past
meeting minutes and financial
reports
• Notate the discussion items and
topics you can speak to
• Complete tasks before or after
to avoid multitasking during the
meeting
