Neighbor Masterclass Series
Every neighborhood includes experts in a field. Let a retired chef teach knife skills, a
financial planner cover retirement basics, or a teenager run a video-editing class. You'll be
surprised by how willing residents are to share their expertise with others and how much
others want to learn!
5
Resilience Ready Day
Hurricanes, wildfires, freezing temperatures, and flooding: every region faces its own risks.
Host local first responders, demonstrate a generator setup, or assemble go-kits together to
ensure residents are prepared.
Kids' Young Entrepreneurs Fair
Invite neighborhood kids and teens to set up booths and sell their creations or promote their
services. Offering everything from lemonade and baked goods to bracelets, artwork, and pet-
sitting, the youngest residents are always eager to show off their skills, while older residents
get a chance to encourage them and support their endeavors.
ENCOURAGING
EDUCATION
Pro tip: Invite the young entrepreneurs to sell tickets to the event,
and use the funds to support their businesses.
