Gabriel Hammond of Legum & Norman has served for 12 years on the longest- standing and largest event committee for Associa Cares. Now in its 18th year, the Annual Vendor Fair in Virginia represents approximately one third of the revenue resources for Associa Cares in the U.S. Gabriel continuously connects individuals who have experienced a disaster with Associa Cares' relief grants. We are honored to be supported by passionate Associa employee volunteers like Gabriel and to learn what fuels their dedication: "Associa Cares has made a lasting impact on me. As someone from Puerto Rico, I had the incredible opportunity to personally deliver checks to ten families just one month after Hurricane Maria devastated the island in September 2017. When I arrived, the situation was heartbreaking—people were struggling with power outages, limited access to clean water, and long lines for gasoline to keep their generators running. Amid these challenges, the moment of handing over those checks was unforgettable. The surprise and joy on their faces, the tears, the heartfelt hugs—they're memories I will carry with me forever. I felt a deep warmth in my soul and an overwhelming sense of pride to be part of Associa.
