9 SUMMER HOA MAINTENANCE TIPS Without proper care, summer's heat can put stress on many parts of your community, from buildings to roadways and more. Plus, the season also brings unpredictable weather. With fluctuating conditions affecting many parts of the community, outdoor amenities, like the pool and grill, and indoor attractions, like the fitness center, will all need attention. To keep the summer safe and fun, consider doing the following: • Service A/C units. Enlist your community's HVAC technician to assess air conditioning systems for peak performance, replacing filters, recharging freon, and fixing leaks as needed. • Inspect emergency equipment. Examine your community's emergency equipment, especially fire extinguishers and hydrants. Make sure they function properly and are visible and easily accessible. • Prepare amenities for summer events. Prioritize upkeep for clubhouses, pools, cabanas, spas, grilling areas, playgrounds, gyms, and parks so they can be enjoyed in the warmer weather. • Manage grill usage to prevent fires. Remove all nearby foliage, debris, and other buildup that could cause a fire, emphasize safety guidelines, and keep a fire extinguisher nearby. • Check that water features function properly.
