Another way to keep your finger on the pulse of the community is to carefully follow
your HOA's social media platforms. If you have active social accounts, homeowners
will often choose to discuss important topics and share their opinions in these
digital spaces. Take the time to review these discussions and note any concerns.
Refer to your HOA's social media policy for information on what posts are allowed,
how to handle negativity, and when to intervene. Following these terms of use will
help create a safe space that promotes engagement and connection.
Best suited for feedback on:
• Neighborhood relations
• Community trends
• Homeowner priorities or preferences
The board may also be able to respond to residents and participate in these
conversations. However, social media isn't the place to resolve disputes.
Acknowledge concerns and take steps to continue the discussion in a more
appropriate setting.
