1. SEND A SURVEY
HOA surveys are a quick and organized method for
gathering member opinions. To conduct a survey,
send each homeowner the same set of questions
with a structured answering format. Collect their
responses and measure the feedback. Adjust future
HOA plans based on the results.
While the board can conduct surveys in different
ways, find a medium that allows as many
homeowners as possible to participate. And
consider making the survey anonymous to elicit
more involvement. This will vary by community, but
some ways to send surveys include:
• Email
• In-person surveys at board meetings
• Text
• Social media platforms
Best suited for feedback on:
• Homeowner satisfaction checks
• Potential community changes
• Neighborhood event ideas
Because they're typically short and easy to fill out,
well-designed surveys are an excellent option for
gauging homeowners' general opinions without
going too in-depth.
