Did You Know? Pecans are a fruit—not a nut.
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Add sugar, salt, and corn syrup to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
3. Boil for 2 minutes; remove from heat after sugar dissolves.
4. Stir in chocolate and butter until melted.
5. Let the mixture cool, then stir in beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and pecans.
6. Pour into a slightly baked pastry shell and bake for about 50 minutes.
