PARTNERING WITH A
COLLECTIONS AGENCY
Some HOAs don't have the resources to handle collections on their own. In
those situations, it's best to consider partnering with a collections agency. These
professionals can take the load off boards by shouldering much of the collection
process via a third party. Taking your needs as an association and local laws into
account, collections agencies manage:
• Collection of assessments, fees, and violations
• Communications and notifications on defaults
• Payment collection and processing
• Support to assist with any communication between the homeowner and HOA
Connect with your community manager and legal team to determine if a third-party
collections agency would benefit your community and ask for recommendations.
