FOCUS ON LANDSCAPING AND
COMMUNITY GROUNDS.
Fall is an excellent time to prepare your grounds for winter and get ahead of landscaping
tasks for spring and summer.
• Schedule a grounds walkthrough. Conduct a thorough inspection of your association
grounds with your landscaper to prioritize needs and identify opportunities to make
changes.
• Update watering systems. You may need to adjust the watering schedule on your
sprinkler system to comply with local seasonal regulations.
• Plant new shrubs. Fall is ideal for planting new shrubs that'll take root and be ready
for spring.
• Fertilize your plants and flowers. Winters can be rough on your plants. Fertilizers
ensure they have enough nutrients to survive.
• Check for pest infestations. Summer may have brought unwanted visitors to your
community. If you notice wasp nests, beehives, or rodent burrows, contact your pest
control vendor.
