THE BOARD
INVOLVED
IN A RESALE
PACKAGE?
While each community operates
differently, a board generally has
many powers in the resale process.
For self-managed communities, a
member of the board may handle
the collection and distribution of
the resale package. Otherwise, a
community manager, home seller, or
buyer's real estate agent may work
with the board to gather information
needed to construct a resale
package. Ultimately, it's important
that whoever is handling the resale
package communicates closing
information with the board, so
members can welcome new residents
and share community-related
information as soon as possible.
