MANAGES
THE RESALE
PACKAGE?
State statutes should outline any
procedural processes for the resale
disclosure. An HOA board or community
association manager usually handles
the collection, preparation, and delivery
of resale package orders. Most HOAs
use a website or application to monitor
and fill out resale documents.
Typically, an HOA has 5 to 10 business
days to provide the resale package
to the person who requests it. If a
community or home seller has accounts
in collections or with attorneys, some
states may require different forms
and processes during the resale
disclosure. This often involves either
separate packages being ordered from
separate entities or information being
communicated through the attorney
from multiple avenues.
