Several states have debated and passed laws requiring associations to allow the
installation of electric vehicle charging stations in condominium parking lots.

This is a federal issue; however, associations do not currently qualify for FEMA
funding for disaster relief to help clear debris following a natural disaster.

Procedures and Ombudsmen
More states are implementing procedures to address disputes between boards
and residents prior to incurring the costs of litigation. Some solutions are
requiring an informal process before the board or a committee, suggesting use
of formal arbitration or mediation services, and creating a state ombudsman
to oversee disputes.
