For many Americans, Memorial Day marks more than the first official summer holiday.

In honor of Memorial Day, Associa Founder and CEO John Carona and Senior Vice President of External Affairs Andrew Fortin presented a $5,000 check to Snowball Express — a non-profit organization that serves children and families of military heroes.

For the bravery and commitment of not only the service members, but also the quiet strength and self-sacrifice of the family members serving with them, Associa will be sharing stories and photos of loved ones who are dear to Associa team members using the hashtag #AssociaRemembers on Twitter.

If you would like to honor your loved ones, please join us by using #AssociaRemembers this Memorial Day weekend.

Today and every day, the Associa family is thankful for the dedication and continued commitment of those in the Armed Forces and It’s our honor and privilege to acknowledge those who serve.

Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May, and serves as a day to pay homage and remember U.S. military service members that made the ultimate sacrifice. The adage “all gave some, some gave all” rings true and through, with family members and friends making pilgrimages to National cemeteries to clean headstones and plant flowers or flags in remembrance of loved ones lost.
